About HIPMaX Storyfest 2024
The HIPMaX StoryFest 2024, jointly organized by Maxis eKelas and the English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC) of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MoE), celebrated young storytelling talent through the theme “Celebrating Malaysian Folklore.” Now in its sixth year, the competition achieved record participation with over 11,000 students from across Malaysia, marking the highest turnout since its inception.
This year’s theme allowed students from three categories—Primary, Lower Secondary, and Upper Secondary—to creatively reenact their favourite Malaysian folklore stories through storytelling and theatre productions. The competition not only fosters communication skills but also helps students internalize positive values in an engaging and enjoyable manner.
The event culminated in a grand finale and prize-giving ceremony at the Institut Pendidikan Guru Kampus Bahasa Antarabangsa in Lembah Pantai, attended by the Minister of Education, YB Fadhlina Sidek. A total of 18 finalists showcased their talents in storytelling and theatre, representing various regions of the nation in a vibrant celebration of creativity and culture.
Big Screen Media was beyond grateful to be given the opportunity to set up the P2.5 Indoor LED Screen, which has a screen size of 8 meters (W) x 3.5 meters (H) for MOE & MAXIS eKelas at Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia Kampus Bahasa Melayu, Kuala Lumpur (IPGMKBM). This was part of the support team’s efforts in providing LED screen rental services for the event HIPMaX Storyfest 2024.
