Pangkalan TLDM Kota Kinabalu

Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia or better known by its abbreviation, TLDM, is one of the branches of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the main agency responsible for the country’s maritime surveillance and defense operations. TLDM is also responsible for controlling the country’s main Sea Lines of Communications (SLOC) such as the Straits of Malacca and the Straits of Singapore. TLDM also oversees national interests in areas that have overlapping claims such as the Spratly waters.In terms of equipment strength and membership, TLDM has the ability to rank with most ASEAN countries and has the third largest navy in this alliance.
